The ideal candidate will possess excellent academic credentials and extensive experience in legal issues related to nursing homes and assisted living facilities. The role involves providing legal guidance, representing clients in legal matters, and ensuring compliance with regulations specific to the elder care sector.Duties and Responsibilities:Represent clients in legal matters related to nursing homes and assisted living facilities, including litigation and arbitration.Provide legal advice on regulatory compliance, patient rights, and facility operations.Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.Conduct legal research and stay updated on changes in laws and regulations affecting elder care facilities.Collaborate with other attorneys, clients, and stakeholders to develop legal strategies and solutions.Prepare and file legal documents, including complaints, motions, and briefs.Advocate on behalf of clients in court and administrative hearings.Advise facilities on risk management and liability prevention strategies.Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local nursing homes and assisted living facilities regulations.Requirements:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Admission to the Florida State Bar or eligibility for admission.Experience in a legal role focusing on nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or similar areas.Proven track record of handling complex legal cases related to elder care.Strong understanding of relevant federal and state laws and regulations.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.Certifications:Licensed to practice law in the state of Florida.Skills:Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Ability to manage multiple cases and prioritize tasks effectively.Proficiency in legal research tools and case management software.High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.Empathy and understanding of issues facing elderly clients and their families.
