Location: Steward Medical Group - North Posted Date: 5/22/2024 Job Type: Full Time Department: 1101.66612 SEMC Neurology Holy Family Hospital is seeking Advanced Practice Provider to join its expanding Neurology team. The APP assists individuals and families with their care needs by obtaining health and medical histories, performing physical examinations, and assessing health problems. The APP cares for patients with acute and chronic life limiting illnesses by managing therapeutic regimens, prescribing medications, and performing other studies and activities that are deemed appropriate. New and follow-up patients will be seen and evaluated by the APP, and physician input will be obtained as necessary as described in the nurse practitioner or physician assistant practice guidelines. The APP will assume neurological care management responsibilities and will facilitate communication with the patient, the patient's family or significant other, and the referring physician. The APP will work in collaboration with the patients' attending physicians to provide continued collaboration with the patients' primary care provider(s). The APP will have the opportunity to receive training in botulinum toxin, nerve blocks, and in Deep Brain Stimulation Programming for Parkinson's Disease. Holy Family is located 30 minutes North of Boston, in Methuen, Massachusetts. Ideal candidates will possess excellent clinical, collaborative and communications skills and have a strong commitment to serve our multicultural patient population. This position comes with the opportunity to teach residents and medical students. A faculty appointment, academic support for research projects, and mentoring are provided.
