18 Month Fixed Term Contract, 35 hours per week About the role The services provided across JRHT Care Services includes the provision of residential, nursing, and domiciliary care in both registered homes and extra care schemes. We’re now seeking a Nurse Manager to be responsible for the management, clinical leadership, and direction of the nursing service, ensuring a safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led environment for our residents and their families. Reporting to the Registered Manager, you’ll lead and improve skills within the nursing team by ensuring nursing skills, knowledge and best practice is adhered to and up to date. You’ll ensure the delivery of high-quality nursing, care and support services which treats people with compassion, kindness, dignity and respect and reflects the NMC Code of Professional Conduct and other professional guidelines. A DBS check is required for this role. About you We’d like our Nurse Manager to be a RGN with a current registration and nurse PIN. You’ll demonstrate an understanding of the needs of older people and be able to lead and manage individuals and a team. With excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to deliver complex information, you’ll work positively with residents and colleagues from diverse backgrounds and have a flexible approach, able to adapt in line with the needs of residents and the service. You’ll be comfortable taking responsibility for issues, resolving them effectively, and be able to lead a fire evacuation process, assisting with resident movements should an evacuation need arise.
