Nurse Educator Location : Staten Island, NYJob Type : Full-TimeShift : Day Shift (7:00 am - 3:30 pm) Role Overview As a Nurse Educator for Perioperative Services, you'll play a key role in enhancing nursing expertise and patient care quality. This position involves creating, delivering, and assessing orientation and continuing education programs for nursing staff, ensuring ongoing professional growth. You'll work closely with Nurse Managers to identify training needs, develop targeted programs, and participate in initiatives that align with Perioperative and Palliative Care Program objectives. Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and assess orientation and ongoing education for perioperative nursing staff. Collaborate with Nurse Managers to identify and fulfill educational needs across all nursing levels within Perioperative Services. Engage in committees and task forces contributing to the goals of the Palliative Care Program and broader organizational objectives. Qualifications Experience : Minimum of 5 years in a nursing specialty, with experience in formal education settings (clinical or classroom). Critical Care experience is preferred. Education : Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree required. Certification : Certified Perioperative Nurse (CNOR) certification is required. Licensure : Current Registered Nurse license in New York State. Skills : Proficient in Microsoft Office; strong organizational and interpersonal abilities are essential.
