October 30, 2024 POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT Network Administrator City of The Dalles Salary: $7,782.42 - $9,571.40 per month plus benefits Closing Date: Open until filled, first review November 13, 2024 The Network Administrator role will manage day to day operations of City's Network Infrastructure to ensure Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability. Audit existing infrastructure and provide suggestions for improvements. Long term this position will be creating a new Lifecycle Management for the Network Infrastructure. Work with IT staff to troubleshoot and resolve any helpdesk tickets as needed. Ensure proper documentation is kept up to date. Other tasks will be assigned by the IT Director as needed.Work hours for this position is generally Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. with the understanding that maintenance or emergency work will need to be completed after regular business hours. QUALIFICATIONS: Any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the applicant with the knowledge, skills and abilities required to perform the job. A typical way to obtain the knowledge, skills and abilities would be:Education: Associate's degree in technology field or additional education (training, seminars or college courses).Experience: 2 years' experience in a related position.Training: CompTIA Network+ and/or Security+, Cisco CCNA or higher, and other security related certifications. Ability to obtain CJIS Certification within 6 months of hire.
