Learn more at www.cretexmedical.com.Position summary: The Moldmaker-Repair/Maintenance will support the Molding business unit and be responsible for repairing a wide variety of highly intricate and complicated tools, meeting extremely close tolerances. Performing highly skilled fitting, adjusting, and timing. ResponsibilitiesMoldmaker-Repair/Maintenance Job Responsibilities: * Injection mold maintenance and repair * Toolroom machinist background with lathes, mills, surface grinders, etc. * Accurately records and documents tool repairs in asset management software * Identify improvement possibilities for tool development * Read and comply with work instructions and checklists * Accurately record and report hours worked * Adhere to all safety policies; includes wearing personal protective equipment when required * Support and comply with the company Quality System, ISO, and medical device requirements * Understand customer needs and the core business markets we serve * Participate in required company meetings * Maintain an organized work area (5S) * Participate in the Operational Excellence Program * Complete all other work duties as assigned * Ability to work in a manufacturing environmentQualificationsMoldmaker-Repair/Maintenance Job Requirements: * 2 years of technical/trade school * 5+ years of bench experience * Advance knowledge of plastic injection mold fit/form/function to include hot runner systems, sensors, servo motor and hydraulic integration. * Understanding of quality procedures * Ability to read prints * Knowledge of CAD software * Prior work experience operating grinding equipment, manual mills and lathes, CNC mills, EDM, etc * Strong mechanical aptitude, knowledge of engineering and tool design required * Strong interpersonal, communication, relationship building and coaching skillsMoldmaker-Repair/Maintenance Preferred Qualifications: * 5+ years of progressive experience in injection molding operations * Working knowledge of CAD, GD&T, blueprint reading, precision measurement instruments * SolidWorks experience * Prior work experience with medical contract manufacturers or suppliers with exposure to PPAP, APQP and ISO 13485
