This role offers a unique opportunity to work within a highly regarded litigation team, dedicated to defending healthcare professionals and institutions. The firm is known for fostering a collaborative work environment and supporting ongoing professional development and advancement.DutiesCollaborate with senior attorneys to craft and implement defense strategies for medical malpractice cases.Prepare, review, and edit a variety of legal documents, including pleadings, discovery requests, memos, briefs, and other litigation materials.Conduct in-depth analysis of medical records to support case strategies.Represent clients in court proceedings, including trials, depositions, conferences, and hearings.Work closely with medical experts to strengthen case foundations and arguments.Perform legal and medical research, as well as draft motions pertinent to case proceedings.Engage directly with clients, providing guidance and building strong professional relationships.Coordinate effectively with internal teams to ensure seamless case management.RequirementsActive admission to practice law in New York State.4-7 years of substantive experience in medical malpractice or healthcare litigation.EducationJuris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited institution.Valid New York State Bar admission.CertificationsAdmission to the New York State Bar (required).SkillsProficient in legal research, drafting, and oral communication.Strong organizational skills with an ability to manage time effectively and prioritize multiple cases.Ability to communicate effectively with clients, instilling confidence and providing clear legal guidance.Aptitude for identifying and addressing complex issues in high-stakes litigation.BenefitsComprehensive health and wellness benefits.Professional development opportunities and avenues for career growth.Supportive, collaborative work culture promoting a collegial environment.
