The ideal candidate will have significant, broad-based commercial real estate experience. This position provides an opportunity to independently manage transactions and work alongside seasoned attorneys on complex matters.Duties:Handle acquisitions, dispositions, and financings of commercial real estateFirst chair smaller transactions and second chair larger transactions (Mid-Level Associates)Lead transactions independently (Senior Associates)Collaborate with clients and colleagues to deliver effective legal solutionsDraft, review, and negotiate complex legal documents related to real estate transactionsProvide legal advice and support on joint ventures, as applicableEnsure compliance with legal and regulatory frameworksRequirements:3-6 years of experience in broad-based commercial real estateExperience with acquisitions, dispositions, financings, and joint ventures (preferred)Strong drafting and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple transactions simultaneously and work well under pressureEducation:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law schoolCertifications:Active membership in good standing with the Washington, DC Bar (or eligibility to waive in)Skills:Strong legal drafting and negotiation skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal abilitiesAbility to lead and manage real estate transactionsDetail-oriented with strong organizational skillsAbility to work collaboratively in a team environmentJob Location:Washington, DC This large DC firm is known as a place that offers a broad and sophisticated practice, while also being very family friendly.
