Medical cience Liaison (Calgary, Edmonton or Vancouver) The Position The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) serves as a critical strategic contributor in initiating and implementing field Medical strategies in support of the Novo Nordisk Canada Inc (NNCI) portfolio; aligned with the national Medical Affairs strategies and Global Medical Affairs guidance. The MSL actively ensures building and maintaining of strong scientific understanding of NNCI marketed products and supports the identification of the unmet medical needs related to the development pipeline compounds. In alignment with the Medical Affairs scientific strategies and platforms, the MSL communicates up-to-date medical knowledge and clinical trial data with internal and external stakeholders where appropriate, and effectively responds to inaccurate competitive claims related to NNCI products in a scientifically accurate and consistent manner. The MSL leverages their own scientific and clinical expertise to create professional relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) and other important healthcare decision-makers. The MSL helps implement educational programs and scientific updates to appropriately share timely medical information and relevant changes in clinical practice trends. The MSL supports NNCI clinical activities in general with focus on investigator-sponsored studies (ISS). The MSL provides scientific leadership in supporting internal training efforts and enhance the overall technical competence of NNCI staff as needed. Closely collaborates with field management in developing appropriate scientific approaches and solutions to support business strategies and building strong linkage among networks within the academic and clinical communities.
