Job Title: Medical Assistant Location: Brooklyn Center, MN Shift: Days, Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Hourly Range: $20.00 - $26.00 Role Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to manage customer flow and assist with various medical tasks at our clinic. This position involves working with a diverse patient population of all age groups, providing individualized care under the guidance of the Supervising Nurse and Supervising Provider. Key Responsibilities: Assist in clinical and clerical operations including rooming patients, administering immunizations, injections, and managing medication as directed by the provider. Perform laboratory specimen collection, phlebotomy, and basic clinical laboratory tests as needed. Provide telephone support, assist with prescription refills, and facilitate communication between patients and healthcare providers. Support clinic operations by performing front desk duties, ordering supplies, and managing prior authorizations. Maintain strict compliance with healthcare standards, privacy policies, and legal regulations. Qualifications: Competency in clinical practices as per the Minnesota Board of Nursing and Medical Practice. Ability to perform delegated tasks within the scope of practice described by Blaze Health Medical Assistant guidelines.
