Dependable Staffing Agency is looking to hire compassionate, competent, and dedicated MAs to fill the needs of our California community. These are immediate openings with both full-time and part-time shifts available. If you have a desire to make a difference in your field with your knowledge, skills, and service, you are in the right place. Job Requirements: Twelve (12) continuous months of experience Current and valid Medical Assistant Certificate from an agency approved by the Department of Consumer Affairs, Medical Board of California, to practice as a Medical Assistant Possess Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an American Heart Association Provider orAmerican Red Cross (with AED); Be proficient in the English language and be able to communicate effectively Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned): The Temporary/Relief Medical Assistant will perform a variety of administrative and clinical duties, which include procedures as regulated by certification such as, but not limited to, the following: Administer basic life support in emergencies to patients/youth and staff; Use medical equipment safely; Administer intradermal, subcutaneous, and intramuscular injections and skin tests; Administer eye/ear washes; Administer prescribed medications topically, sublingually, and orally; Administer basic breathing treatments; Remove casts, splints, sutures, and other external devices; Change simple dressing; Collect blood via capillary and venipuncture techniques; Collect lab specimens using appropriate collection equipment; label specimens appropriately for evaluation; Other duties as assigned per job description Documents needed at the time of application: Valid MA Certificate/License Active CPR Card/First Aid CA State I.D.
