Busy pain management office looking for an experienced Medical Assistant in Bowie, MD. Bi-Lingual (Spanish and English) is a plus. Clinical responsibilities: Escort patient to the exam room Measure vital signs, including weight and blood pressure Obtain and review the patient medical history, complete Intake and appropriate documentation in the EHR Locate lab and imaging reports and place in record prior to the appointment (chart prep) Triage phone calls and process messages from patients to physicians (Clinical inboxes) Assist with procedures and C-arm operation, as needed Obtain urine drug screenings on patients Keep exam rooms and procedure carts appropriately stocked Clerical responsibilities: Answer incoming phone calls and return patient calls in timely manner Schedule appointments Assist front desk (check-in/ check-out), as needed Scanning, faxing, printing documents PC experience is mandatory Must be organized, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task.Practice is open Monday through Fridays. The ability to work flexible hours is a must.Medical Assistant Certification is preferred but not required. EMR experience is a plus.
