Description:
RemX is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to design components for automation, pneumatic, and structural in the field of industrial and food automation machines for our premier client based in Carol Stream, IL. Pay $75k-$82k, (Benefits include: medical/dental/vision, 401k, life ins., PTO) Monday- Friday position with 15% or less travel. MUST have a minimum of an Associates Degree in Engineering or related field, experience with SolidWorks, AutoCAD and Draftsignt (2D design), and automation experience. Duties: * Design mechanical parts and assemblies in SolidWorks. * 2D quality control drawings for manufacturing. * Component specification and selection. * Enter assemblies and references into document control system (SmarTeam). * Interface with vendors and contractors on a regular basis for part sourcing. * Gather and document all project results and then report info in proper systems.Minimum Requirements: * Ability to read and understand assembly drawings, SOP's and Bills of Materials. * Fluency with Microsoft Office * Proficiency with Draftsight, AutoCad, and SolidWorks. * Knowledge of SmarTeam and QAD a plus. * Must possess basic understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic schematics. * Associate degree in relevant field with coursework towards a Bachelors degree in progress. * 1+ years of Mechanical Engineering Experience. * Engineering experience in the automation field. * Clean driving record, background and the ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
