A Meat Clerkâs responsibilities include the following: Providing excellent customer service, by greeting them and responding to their questions proactively Cutting and preparing meat for sale and waiting on customers as needed for the Meat counter area. Promoting product by providing customers with information needed to make informed decisions. Operating scale Assisting in ordering the proper amount of product for the meat department Maintaining, filling and rotating product and displaying it properly Maintaining the company's high standards for product freshness and sanitation Selecting and wrapping product for customers Cleaning scales and cutting areas Assisting in other duties as assigned in Meat. Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years of age. High school education preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
