Key Assignments include: Support materials issues; knowledge with expertise to provide support to other engineering disciplines. Write comprehensive detailed and accurate reports that include preparation and delivery in Microsoft office applications on failure analysis performed on failed and worn aerospace components. Prepare and evaluate metallurgical samples from various manufacturing processes ure material and processes comply to drawings, specifications and procedures. Work to identify design errors, omissions and other deficiencies and make recommendations for improvements. Will interpret and validate test results for accuracy and precision. Minimum requirements: BS or MS in materials science, metallurgical engineering or related discipline with process engineering knowledge required. 2-3yrs’ background performing required functions of the job. Demonstrated field background in non-ferrous metallurgy including nickel base, cobalt base, titanium, aluminum and other corrosion and oxidation resistant super alloys. Familiar with manufacturing processes such as braze, heat treat, welding, and EDM Exposure or background utilizing a metallographic microscope for taking digital photos. Key Competencies Include: Background working through issue solving teams within an engineering and quality driven organization with diverse technical backgrounds. Adaptive and resilient to daily changes in work scheduling to meet internal customer demands with superior written and presentation skills Will serve as mentor/coach to technicians.
