Responsibilities Stage and load correct products for shipping.Prepare related documents.Quality checks to ensure accurate shipmentsFlexing into receiving and small parcel shippingParticipate in and engage in continuous improvement activitiesFollow established company and departmental precautions and procedures in the performance of all job duties to ensure a safe work environment for self and others.Demonstrate respect and regard for customers and coworkers to ensure a professional, responsive and courteous environment at Minnesota Elevator, Inc.Participate as a team member by performing additional assignments to meet organizational goals as noted and observed by supervisor and coworkers.Participate in self-development activities to enhance job performance either through formal means (classes, workshops, seminars, in services, etc.) or less structured means (reading, networking, etc.)Follow company guidelines regarding punctuality and attendance to ensure a smooth working environment for department.Execute additional tasks as needed Experience Shipping/Receiving experience preferredForklift experience preferredHigh school diploma or GED preferredExperience with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook) Skills Ability to lift up to 50 poundsResourceful, problem-solver, able to prioritize and multitaskDetail oriented and organizedAble to communicate effectively with great people skills & a sense of humorTeam player with a positive attitudeSelf-motivated and work independently with minimum supervisionUnshakeable integrity Physical Demands Position requires approximately 10% sitting, 50% walking and 40% standing. The ability to use hands to finger, handle or feel is required on a frequent basis. The ability to reach with hands and arms and to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl on an occasional basis is required. Also, the position requires the ability to express or exchange ideas by means of spoken words. Clear vision at 20 inches or less and at 20 feet or more is required. The ability to identify and distinguish colors is required. This position also requires peripheral vision and depth perception. The ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis is required. Job holder must work near moving mechanical parts on an occasional basis and is exposed to outdoor weather conditions on a consistent basis. This position is exposed to moderate noise (e.g., business office machines such as computers and printers, light traffic).
