It is an exciting time join the world's largest enclosure manufacturer as we expand our US sales force. The Material Handler Team Leader is responsible for overseeing and managing a team of Material Handlers within the Internal Logistics department. This role involves coordinating team activities, ensuring efficient material flow, and maintaining high standards of safety and productivity. Key Responsibilities: Team Leadership: Manage and lead a team of Material Handlers, assigning tasks, providing guidance, and ensuring effective communication. Monitor team performance, identify training needs, and implement development plans. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment. Material Movement: Oversee the efficient movement of materials between workstations, ensuring adherence to production schedules and quality standards. Coordinate the pulling, staging, and delivery of materials to production lines. Monitor inventory levels and manage rework and scrap materials. Safety Compliance: Ensure that all team members adhere to safety regulations and procedures. Conduct safety inspections and provide training on safety practices. Investigate accidents and incidents, implement corrective actions, and promote a culture of safety. Productivity and Efficiency: Develop and implement actions to improve team productivity and efficiency. Identify and resolve bottlenecks in the material flow process. Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions. Qualifications: High school diploma or GED strongly preferred, but not required. Forklift certification required. Knowledge of scanners and Rittal product is beneficial. General computer knowledge is also beneficial. Experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment, with at least [Number] years of supervisory experience. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Ability to motivate and inspire team members. Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills. Additional Skills: Proficiency in warehouse management systems. Ability to learn and adapt to new procedures and technologies.
