Consider working at the National Museum of the Marine Corps - a lasting tribute to U.S. Marine Corps history, traditions and culture, where visitors engage in exciting and immersive experiences as seen through the eyes of Marines.The Marine Corps Heritage Foundation is seeking a highly organized and motivated Part-Time Marketing Specialist to support the Marketing Department. This role is integral to the planning and execution of marketing initiatives, including the 250th Marine Corps Birthday celebration. The ideal candidate will provide administrative and operational support, manage multiple deliverables, and assist in various promotional and advertising efforts. Location: Fully in-person: This is an in-person position located at 1775 Semper Fidelis Way, Triangle, VA 22172.This is a part-time position with flexible hours, requiring approximately 20-25 hours per week. Some evening and weekend work may be required during special events. Responsibilities: Assist with the planning and coordination of the 250th Marine Corps Birthday celebration, including updating and maintaining the campaign’s website with event details and managing administrative tasks related to local and nationwide events. Provide support in general advertisement contracting, ensuring deliverables are met by working closely with graphic designers, media outlets, and vendors. Assist with the promotion of Marine Corps Heritage Foundation and National Museum of the Marine Corps events through various local channels, including media outlets, emails, and local community calendars. Collaborate with the Marketing Manager on website management, ensuring content is accurate and up-to-date. Assist in preparing and distributing the Foundation's email newsletter, helping with content creation and audience segmentation. Support additional projects as needed, including event logistics, communications, and media relations. Perform administrative tasks and other duties as assigned by the Marketing Manager. Requirements: 1-3 years prior experience in marketing, event coordination, or a related field is preferred. Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Proficiency with content management systems (CMS) and website management, particularly EveryAction and HubSpot. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a team and independently. Experience with graphic design or video editing is a plus. Familiarity with military culture, particularly the Marine Corps, is a bonus. Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard. The employee frequently is required to be in one position for long periods of screen use, reach with hands and arms, and talk and hear both in person and over devices. The employee interacts in close spaces and frequently with other workers, vendors, and clients. May be in situations which require conflict resolution. The position works in an office environment with artificial light and air.
