Market Analyst will contribute to the organization's understanding of the current market and identify important trends amongst their competition, as well as support the MCI and larger PP team in core activities.We are looking for a person who can bring good synergy to our already awesome group of people. This person should be hardworking, have a positive-attitude, forward thinking, and willing to dive in to a problem and providing solutions to make the whole team successful. This person should be comfortable with learning about data sets, attending auto shows, digging for information, and communicate findings of analysis or trends. Detailed Job Description: Competitive Analysis Create summaries of key vehicle entries and issue summary reports. Support and contribute to competitive analysis and sales reportsNews reporting: Daily News for Company; Weekly News of OEMs; Bi-weekly News to executives 10 articles with 4 summarized. Monitor & report on competitor actions and trends in multiple segmentsLearn data sets used within the product planning / MCI team and support community with access, setting up training (not responsible for training). Mine data and analyze the results to create reports with recommendations that support organization decision-making. Provide status reports, usually written, to management or on project basis Show or Special Events Support reviews with engineering groups in Korea. Support or lead trend capture process for Bi-monthly Pulse Trends. Manage Company SAE WCX attendance and show set up Occasionally, attend auto shows and submit cohesive reports that identify industry and vehicle trends, including key technologies and strategies. Support Role Support the purchase of and manage 3rd party resources (reports, consulting, etc.) in support of global, industry and vehicle trends. Handle administrative functions such as purchasing requests, meeting schedules, etc. Occasionally, support market research and supplier activities, as necessary Required Qualifications: Product Planning or similar experience preferred, but not necessary. Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate integrity and ethical behavior. Proficient skills in MS Office - Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook. Demonstrated ability to adapt to rapidly changing business requirements. Flexible, organized and able to work effectively with all levels of employees. Fluency with English language. Market survey experience (including interviews with customers, dealers and fleets) preferred. Ability to perform internet-based desk research. Ability to summarize Industry news articles or papers in a report format
