We are looking for a Manufacturing Design Engineer to join us at the Kurt J. Lesker Company at our European headquarters based in St. Leonards, East Susinteraction. Responsibilities: This is a Mechanical Engineering position that designs and details Vacuum Chambers, Custom Fabrications and machined components coordinating all aspects of manufactured products through Planning, Production and Inspection. Apply knowledge of engineering principles to design products including vacuum chambers, sub-assemblies and vacuum systems. Key Job Elements: Design and detail mechanical components used in the KJLC product lines while following the established procedures Meet with Material Control, Key Shop Personnel, and any other resource as required to discuss and understand the entire scope of the project Work to budgets and timelines relative to project tasks Create Bills of Material in the corporate ERP system Interface with our internal machine shop to determine cost effective manufacture Interface with subcontractors and outside vendors to procure custom components Qualifications/Experience: Required Engineering degree or Mechanical Engineering (HND/HNC) Strong 3D CAD experience Working knowledge of GD&T skills Preferred Experience of working within a Manufacturing Facility Experience of Scientific Vacuum Industry Hands on Experience via CNC machining, fabrication or TIG Welding Experience with Solid Edge or other mid-range modelling package Your colleagues say you: Have a keen eye for the details Have great communication skills and a positive attitude Can deliver on tasks and projects, takes initiative Benefits: We've built a benefits package that invests in our.
