Manual Machinist Ashton-under-Lyne Day shift or nights available Mon-Thurs 08:00-16:30 Fri 08:00-13:00Mon-Thurs 18:00-06:00 Overtime available Manual Machinist Benefits Company pension with a total weekly contribution of 8 5 employee, 3 employer, and also have a bonus system based around Health and Safety that pays £250 every 6 months for those who have qualified. Manual Machinist The Role You will be working on manual machines for vertical or horizontal borers. This is a heavy machining environment, for a client that is looking to expand their workforce due to the volume of orders that they are bringing in. Manual Machinist Main Responsibilities Working on manual turning or milling and vertical/horizontal borers Producing batch work Measure and record build tolerances, and ability to determine parts that require repair Fill out job paperwork accurately documenting actions taken. Meet production and quality targets set on a daily basis. Carry out quality checks on products and record the information accurately. Observe Safe Working Procedure, H&S instructions and additional training while operating machinery or working on processes. Check emergency stops as per instructions and fill out the relevant paperwork. Raise any performance or H&S issues immediately with the cell leader or supervisor.
