Purpose Responsible in supporting the development of all payroll controls and variable pay compensation, ensuring data accuracy and compliance with regulatory and policy requirements. This role collaborates with the Payroll Operations team, Total Rewards COE, IT&S/HR Support and other business areas to create controls, future processes, document and manage all related tasks and requirements. In this role you will: Leads and drives a customer focused culture throughout their team to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge Supports the Sr Manager in the development and execution of all payroll controls Analyses variable pay compensation plans to identify operational opportunities and provides feedback and recommendations to COE and business line leaders Supports the execution of all activities related to variable pay compensation in payroll, ensuring compliance with compensation plans, policy standards and legislative requirements Collaborates with Sr Manager, Payroll Controls & Variable Pay and the Director, Payroll to evaluate and analyze existing procedures and processes to identify improvement/enhancement opportunities and implement solutions to address them Collaborates with GHRT to monitor, backss, and troubleshoot any control gaps leading to errors or problems within systems to ensure optimal compliance Supports with the development of payroll control specific and statistical reports to identify gaps in procedures and services Acts as a subject matter expert on all aspects of payroll compensation and controls, resolves escalated or high risk issues or concerns as required Understands how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions Creates an environment in which his/her team pursues effective and.
