RESPONSIBILITIES:Kforce has a client that is seeking a Manager, Compliance Accounting & Analysis in Baldwin Park, CA.Position overview:The job requires fundamental knowledge and working background in applying the rules and regulations related to 3rd-party cost reporting and a strong understanding of hospital operations. This is a visible role and is responsible for Medicare and Medical Cost reporting, OSHPD quarterly and annual reporting, Provider Fee analysis, 340B compliance tracking, TEFRA appeals, and SB1732 filings. The role provides necessary analysis and communications specific to compliance reports, and provides leaders with insightful info vital to the operational decision-making process. The position will be collaborating with various teams in relation to feasibility studies and will be part of isolated projectsKey Assignments include: Responsible for Medicare and Medicaid cost reports. This requires collaboration with various departments for the inputs. Works with an external consulting entity to facilitate the review and filing of cost reports and filings of the appeals (as necessary) Prepares all necessary adjustment entries for month-end/quarterly close in relation to Cost Reports, Provider Fee, Medicare Bi-Weekly payments, SB1732, and other compliance matters, as needed Establishes and ensures compliance with Accounting and Reporting Manual policies and procedures Propose improvements as needed Provides analysis and communications specific to compliance reports Provides management with info vital to decision making Analyzes complex financial and statistical data to ensure reimbursement accuracy. Responds to government intermediary audits and requestsNECESSARY SKILLS: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related position 7-10 yrs of background in a senior/lead level role preferred 5yrs of background in Accounting/Finance three years in a supervisory/managerial capacityPreferred education background and skills: Background with Medicare and Medical Cost Reports, OSHPD reports, and 340B compliance monitoring Prefer MBA and / or CPA Healthcare reimbursement/net patient revenue background Management responsibility in a complex operating environment Strong understanding of patient revenue and reimbursement process Expertise to turn data to story and insights (this would require strong ms excel and issue solving skills) Strong understanding of reporting qualifications related to Medicare and Medical Cost Reports, Home Office Reports, OSHPD reports, and 340B Expertise to solve difficult problems related to reimbursement, contract modeling and revenue cycle functionsKforce is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
