Maintenance Mechanic- Electrician
Apply on-line athttps://careers.seaworldparks.com/home/sites/langhorne-pa/ RESPONSIBILITIES: -Responsible for preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance in our various facilities and attractions (includes mechanical rides, water systems and commercial electrical equipment). -Perform installation of all electrical wiring according to code and advise others on the same. -Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, repair of general lighting, power circuits, electrical devices and equipment through the park. -Perform daily ride inspections that includes: following checklists, confirming proper operation of each ride, maintaining log books, repairing rides and equipment as needed. -Work together with other park departments (Operations, Merchandise, Culinary Operations, etc.) to accomplish any work that is assigned. -Consistently practices safe work habits including, but not limited to the use of personal protective equipment, lifting and reporting of unsafe situations. -Assist with park set up and winterization of park facilities and attractions. -Perform painting, plumbing, mechanical work or other tasks as needed. EDUCATION & BACKGROUND: -High-school, trade or vocational school graduate or equivalent. -Journeyman electrician with (4) years of commercial/industrial environment is required. -Expertise to understand operation of amusement rides from simple start/stop circuits to PLC controllers. -Expertise to understand/learn pneumatic and hydraulic controls. Expertise to understand/learn variable speed AIR CONDITIONING and DC drives. -Expertise to operate various types of machinery including forklift, man-lift, etc. -Must be familiar with and able to operate tools of trade including VOM, conduit bender, meggar, etc. Must be a self-motivator who is a strong team member and interact well with others. -Must be willing to work a flexible schedule that includes weekdays, weekends, evenings, nights and holidays. -Must be physically able to climb stairs daily on multiple 60' towers, lift up to 50lbs, bend repetitively, and stand and walk for long periods of time and be able to work outside in all types of weather. -Possess a valid state's license. -Must be able to successfully complete all legal, company and department training qualifications to include but not limited to passing required tests and certifications within established timelines.
