We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Hackney to assist with the appointment of a Maintenance Contract Strategy & Planning Manager , on a 6-month contract , highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Responsibilities: As the Maintenance Contract Strategy and Planning Manager (R&M) Manager you will be accountable for the end-to-end delivery of repair and maintenance services for Hackney Council. You will be a motivated, effective and experienced leader who will play a pivotal role in our ambitious and dedicated team. You will shape and lead a Maintenance Strategy that meets and exceeds the needs of Hackney Council. You and your team will identify best practice and solutions to some of the Councils challenges, helping to foster a culture of learning, improvement and ambition. To successfully lead the Councils Maintenance service to ensure that the Councils property is well managed, maintained and achieves value for money. Health and safety compliance management for the estate Strategic oversight of corporate facilities site and support services Management of fixed and variable revenue budgets and project specific capital budgets Being the lead officer on all estate and facilities collaborations Proactively managing the estate to minimise service failures. To plan and implement a strategic framework of policies and procedures for Facilities Management services at all properties where the Council has management or maintenance responsibilities. Requirements: Qualified in a relevant Property related degree. Significant experience in the development, planning and implementation of property maintenance programmes. Able to demonstrate experience of strategy development and implementation in a large, complex organisation. Demonstrable evidence of managing outsourced consultants and contractors to deliver high quality, timely work. Able to demonstrate a detailed knowledge. Visit ListedBuy for more information.
