Located in Bend, OR Salary: $20 Job Title: Maintenance Assistant (Temporary) Location: Bend, Oregon Pay Rate: $20/hour Schedule: M-F: 8 AM - 5 PM About Us: We are a local nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting individuals with disabilities and others facing barriers to full community participation. Our focus is on enhancing quality of life and promoting community inclusion. Job Description: We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Maintenance Assistant to join our team and help ensure our facilities and fleet are in top-notch condition. This temporary position is perfect for someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys hands-on tasks in a dynamic environment. Key Responsibilities: General Maintenance: Perform a variety of maintenance tasks on buildings and grounds, including landscaping and fleet upkeep. Safety First: Maintain facilities and fleet to ensure they are safe, clean, and operational at all times. Tool Proficiency: Utilize hand and power tools effectively and safely while adhering to safety protocols. Team Collaboration: Communicate clearly and follow directions from supervisors, working cooperatively with team members. Routine Tasks: Assist with routine maintenance and handyman tasks, demonstrating your versatility and problem-solving skills. Qualifications: Experience Required: Previous experience in maintenance or handyman work is essential. Valid Driver''s License: Must possess a valid driver''s license with an insurable driving record. Physical Ability: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks, including bending, crouching, and standing for extended periods. Knowledgeable: Basic understanding of tools, lawn care equipment, and snow removal equipment is preferred. Compassionate: Must be comfortable working in the same area as individuals with intellectual disabilities. Personable Attitude: A friendly and polite demeanor, with the ability to relate well to others. Judgment Skills: Ability to exercise sound judgment and follow directions effectively. Why Join Us?
