Position Purpose: Direct and train hourly employees in set-up and machine operation, 5S, lean concepts, manufacturing processes, inspection methods, quality requirements, and efficient production of high-pressure composite cylinders in a safe work environment. Requirements: The main activities of the position include but are not limited to the following: Meet daily production schedules. Direct and motivate hourly employees. Review of processes, procedures, and productivity at all operations on a daily basis. Maintain a safe work environment by way of the 5s process and enforcing current safety procedures, monitoring operations to develop new safety procedures and working in close cooperation with safety committee. Oversee machine operators and inspectors throughout the production process. Supervise production employee training to ensure all employees are properly trained and signed off to proper operations of machinery and equipment, performance of manufacturing and inspection processes, safety and quality requirements of each operation. Monitor and maintain minimum (95%) efficiency standards for all machine operators and inspectors using daily machine utilization reports and direct floor observations. Monitor and maintain machine center efficiencies through production records review and visual management. Improve machine production and efficiencies through joint efforts with manufacturing, engineering, maintenance, and product assurance department.
