Benefits: Medical Dental Vision Training and mentoring 401(k) with matching Paid sick leave Paid vacation SUMMARY This position is responsible for evaluating and repairing the items listed on the Vehicle Condition Reports that are within their skill level. They have the responsibility of performing and completing the inspection, oil changes and chassis lubrication according to company procedure. Will on a weekly basis, perform a general inspection on vehicles parked in the yard for damages and other minor defects. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Troubleshoot, diagnose, rebuild, replace and complete all required repairs on diesel equipment Document, complete, and keep current the maintenance logs for all repairs and parts used daily. Ensure compliance with all State and Federal trucking regulations. Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with workplace safety rules and regulations and government guidelines. Maintain inventory and proper recordkeeping. COMPETENCIES/REQUIREMENTS: 3 years of verifiable hands-on experience as a commercial diesel mechanic preferred. Must have mechanical experience. Strong team player. Excellent time management and problem-solving skills. Have strong interpersonal and communication skills.
