Open and Close Dates: Feb 23, 2024 - Mar 04, 2024 Marketing Statement: Summary: This position is in the Training Resource Management Unit (TRM), Office of the Foreign Affairs Security Training Center (FASTC), Directorate of Training (T), Bureau of Diplomatic Security (DS), Department of State, Blackstone, VA.In this position, you will serves as a senior Logistics Management Specialist, providing expert advice and guidance to the TRM Chief in the planning, direction and accomplishment of logistics functions in support of the FASTC mission. Major Duties: Who May Apply: Job Status: Duration Appointment: This is a non-status, non-permanent Personal Service Contract (PSC) position. PSC's do not acquire a competitive or excepted service status from this position. Contract is 1 year; renewable up to 4 years. Conditions of Employment: Education: Education requirements do not apply to this vacancy announcement. Requirements: Qualifications: Applicants must meet all the qualification requirements described below by the closing date of this announcement. Applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in the Federal service which provided the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position. Qualifying specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience advising senior officials on logistics and inventory management programs and systems. Experience developing and/or recommending changes to logistic management policies and procedures. Experience converting logistics management regulations and principles into standards, guidelines, and/or procedures.
