Title: Logistics Coordinator Reports To: Logistics Manager FLSA Status: Hourly Review Process: Logistics Manager, Shipping Supervisor SUMMARY The Logistics Coordinator is a 'key active contributor" to the logistics warehouse team. The Logistics Coordinator facilitates communication and data entry and provides all East Bay Tire stakeholders with customer service support. The Logistics Coordinator finds adequate solutions to all extraordinary requests and offers immediate feedback to the Sales, Purchasing, and East Bay Tire branches. The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for the timely and prompt execution of all Business Central Logical transactions and shipping requests. The Logistics Coordinator helps improve overall warehouse efficiency by directing traffic and considering the warehouse supervisor(s) workload, priorities, and goals. The Logistics Coordinator informs the Warehouse Supervisor(s) of all extraordinary activities so that East Bay Tire delivery performance meets our customers' expectations. Responsibilities Help improve and maintain East Bay Tire current service metrics in Safety Quality and Productivity Coordinate and help execute all extraordinary customer service requests. Proactively reviews the warehouse's daily shipping errors. Proactively reviews the release of Sales and Transfer Orders, consistently communicating with the Warehouse Supervisor(s) and Director of Logistics. Assist Sales and Purchasing when needed on any delivery or receiving issues Schedules, pickups, and facilitates the delivery of all EBT shipments and purchasing orders. Works daily with transportation vendors on any OS&D (Over, Shortage, and Damaged) issues. Works daily with sales on any RMA, re-consignment, and helps troubleshoot any delivery issues. Perform warehouse inventory Pick and receive orders with a forklift Driving box truck as needed Position Requirements Detail-oriented with excellent customer service skills Basic Knowledge of Shipping and receiving, including small parcel processing Good communication skills Be motivated and help lead Distribution Centers and Branches to achieve higher quality standards. Complete daily tasks with little supervision Good Problem-solving skills Reliable team contributor always focusing on solutions to problems Advanced computer skills for all software programs related to Microsoft Office Demonstrated organization and planning skills to manage multiple concurrent situations and multi-task Ability to build and cultivate internal and external relationships Become a trusted resource among other staff, clients, and vendors. Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice. QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma. 2+ years of experience in logistics management required. Strong Customer Service Skills and Phone etiquette Detail-oriented with good document management skills Effective multitasker Proficiency required in Microsoft Office and logistics software. Insurable driving record Physical Requirements Frequently perform desk-based computer tasks, use a telephone, sit, and use light/fine grasping. Occasionally stand, walk, and write by hand, lift, carry, push, and pull objects weighing 30 pounds or less. Rarely kneel, crawl, climb, twist, bend, stoop, squat, reach or work above shoulders, grasp forcefully and sort, file paperwork or parts. * Consistent with its obligations under the law, EBT will provide reasonable accommodation to any employee with a disability who requires accommodation to perform the essential functions of their job.
