We are seeking a Locums Trauma Surgery Physician Assistant to provide coverage in Lima, OH. This role involves working 12hr shifts, either 7 PM-7 AM or 24hr shifts 7-7. The position focuses on inpatient trauma care, including daily rounding, new consults, and admissions. The Physician Assistant will perform daily rounding on trauma patients, conduct new consults, and manage admissions. The average caseload includes 6-12 patients per day. The role requires collaboration with the trauma attending surgeon assigned to each shift. While the trauma attending surgeon is typically on call from home, they must be available within 15 minutes or via phone. Documentation for this position is managed through the Epic EMR system. The Trauma Center is designated as Level 2 adult, and the Nurse Practitioner will provide high-quality care within this setting. Requirements:. Board Certification Required. DEA License Active Ohio PA license is required. ACLS, ATLS, BLS, PALS Lima, OH, is a city located in the northwestern part of the state of Ohio.
