A busy hospital is seeking a CRNA for locum tenens coverage. Upstate New York is filled with beautiful sights to see like Niagara Falls, Watkins Glenn State Park, and the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum The schedule is Monday through Friday, with 8-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. The call ratio for this position is approximately 1:5 with one weekend a month, with CRNAs taking second call from 3:30 PM to 7:00 AM. CRNAs are only called in when physicians are unavailable or require assistance. The cases handled include Orthopedics, General Surgery, GI, ENT, Urology, and OB, where CRNAs will be responsible for placing spinals and epidurals. The practice operates with a mix of supervision and medical direction, depending on the staffing for the day. There are 7 operating rooms, including 3 endoscopy rooms, supported by 5 physicians and 3 CRNAs. The credentialing process is quick.
