MetaSense, Inc. is seeking a local contract Medical Lab Technician for a local contract job in Detroit, Michigan.Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Medical Lab Technician Discipline: Allied Health Professional Duration: 8 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days, nights Employment Type: Local ContractDuties: Under direct supervision by laboratory technologist, leader and/or supervisor, and according to defined protocols, performs select procedures on blood and/or other body fluids or specimens, involving manual techniques or the use of laboratory instruments and information systems. May perform phlebotomy as needed. Requirements: Completion of an Associate Degree Program in Medical Laboratory Technology or Laboratory Science required. Ability to communicate effectively with others. Demonstrated technical proficiency and theoretical knowledge sufficient to perform laboratory functions. Certification from a recognized national certifying agency (ASCP or NCA) required.Skills: Certification from a recognized national certifying agency (ASCP or NCA) - RequiredEducation: Completion of an Associate Degree Program in Medical Laboratory Technology or Laboratory Science - RequiredCertifications & Licenses: Certification from a recognized national certifying agency (ASCP or NCA)Phlebotomist -Required Certification** No TESTING ** This position focuses more on clerical and customer service - Candidate will be making phones - critical value calling Prefer candidates to have experience with SunQuest and Epic **Schedule** 1 shift: 10am - 630pm 1 shift 6pm - 230amMetaSense, Inc.
