Work on a cross-disciplinary visual team that brings its reporting, editing and storytelling strengths to bear on important and fast-moving stories. Assign and edit news photography and conceive, develop and execute photo-driven storytelling techniques on digital platforms. Responsible for video editing, including packaging of complex stories. Using information graphics to craft multimedia packages by bringing photo-video-graphics strands together into compelling and informative narratives. Requirements: Bachelors degree or equivalent in Journalism, Photography, or other visually focused area of study and 5 years experience in a photo editing role in a news-related field, including research and photographic assigning. Must have experience in/with: Photoshop, Lightroom and Adobe Creative Cloud Suite software; working in digital publishing software and content management systems; video editing; managing video production; and editing software packages. Must have knowledge of legal, copyright and usage issues for visuals. Role holder will be eligible for a hybrid work schedule, reporting to the New York headquarters at least three days per week.
