Description:
Employbridge is currently recruiting for a Litigation Counsel specializing in property, casualty and auto insurance to join their team. This position will be located in Anaheim CA. RESPONSIBILITIES: * Manage and litigate complex property, casualty and auto insurance claims * Provide expert legal representation and guidance throughout the litigation processes * Oversee and manage litigation cases from inception through litigation * Provide legal advice to internal teams in various departments throughout the company * Evaluate, advise on settlement opportunities and risk exposure focusing on effective resolution of claims * Collaborate with external legal counsel, managing performance, costs and tracking assigned cases * Ensure compliance with relevant states and federal laws, regulations and internal policies * Perform legal research, prepare legal proceedings, discoveries and motions * Represent the company in court appearances, depositions, mediations, and arbitrations * Maintain documentation of litigation files and records to ensure proper communication with key leadership QUALIFICATIONS: * Juris Doctor (JD) Degree from an accredited university * Active member of the California State Bar * 2 plus years of experience in property, casualty, and auto insurance litigation * Experience as an in-house counsel or within a law firm * Ability to manage complex cases including strong litigation and trial skills * Strong negotiation and analytical skills * Excellent presentation skills both written and verbal * Hybrid role after probationary period * In accordance with California law, the expected salary for this California position is $125,000-$155,000 per year. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and education
