The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of experience in complex commercial litigation and counseling, with expertise in securities law and antitrust law. The role requires excellent oral and written communication skills, a strong academic background, and admission to the New York Bar.Duties:Provide expert legal counsel on complex commercial litigation matters across various practice areas, including securities law and antitrust law.Manage and oversee all phases of litigation, from case assessment and strategy development to trial and appeal.Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements.Represent clients in court proceedings, arbitrations, and mediations.Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategy and decision-making.Develop and implement litigation strategies to effectively address client issues and achieve favorable outcomes.Collaborate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel to facilitate case management and resolution.Supervise and mentor junior attorneys and legal staff, providing guidance and support as needed.Requirements:JD from an accredited law school.Admission to the New York Bar.7+ years of experience in complex commercial litigation, with a strong background in securities law and antitrust law.Proven track record of handling high-stakes litigation cases and achieving successful outcomes.Skills:Excellent oral and written communication skills.Strong academic background and extensive experience in litigation.Expertise in complex commercial litigation, securities law, and antitrust law.Proficiency in drafting and negotiating legal documents and managing litigation processes.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Ability to manage multiple cases and projects simultaneously.Effective leadership and mentorship skills. This firm is high on profits per partner, but low in terms of associate satisfaction. The good news? They are looking at it, says management, who is reinvigorating the attempts to address associate satisfaction and attrition. Although the work is good--associates feel that they learn through trial by fire, those wanting hands on mentoring or touchy feely interaction with partners will likely be disappointed.
