This full-time, hybrid role provides an exciting opportunity for a motivated lawyer to work across various areas of law, including professional malpractice, employment claims, and more. The firm offers a collaborative and supportive environment with hands-on experience from day one, allowing the attorney to grow and gain exposure to a diverse set of legal challenges.Duties:Represent clients in all stages of litigation, from initiation to expert discovery, with a focus on professional malpractice and employment claims.Attend and participate in court appearances, hearings, depositions, and case management conferences.Conduct complex legal research and assist in discovery investigations.Draft legal documents including motions, pleadings, discovery requests, case summaries, court orders, settlement agreements, affidavits, and legal memoranda.Review and analyze discovery responses, depositions, and prepare summaries and litigation update reports.Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel on behalf of clients.Maintain communication with clients throughout the litigation process, providing regular updates and legal analysis.Requirements:Must be licensed to practice law in Delaware.Experience in medical malpractice, professional liability, and/or employment litigation is preferred.Strong written and organizational skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).Proficient in Lexis software for legal research.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications:Active bar membership in Delaware.Skills:Excellent legal research, writing, and communication skills.Strong organizational and case management abilities.Ability to thrive in a collaborative, dynamic, and fast-paced work environment.Proficient in legal research and office productivity tools.Benefits:401(k) with matching contributionsDental insuranceEmployee assistance programFlexible work scheduleFlexible spending accountHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offReferral programVision insurance Founded over two decades ago, this law firm specializes in defense litigation.
