This is an exciting opportunity for a driven attorney with a strong background in civil litigation, particularly in General Liability and Professional Liability matters, to join a dynamic team. The role offers exposure to a broad range of litigation areas, providing hands-on experience from day one, as well as the ability to grow within a supportive, mid-sized firm environment.Duties:Represent clients in all stages of litigation, from initial filing to expert discovery and trial preparation.Attend court appearances, hearings, depositions, and case management conferences.Conduct detailed legal research and lead discovery investigations.Draft and review discovery requests, responses, motions, case evaluations, settlement agreements, pleadings, and legal memoranda.Prepare case summaries, deposition summaries, and litigation update reports.Engage in negotiations with opposing counsel to resolve claims.Provide regular legal analysis, status updates, and strategic advice to clients throughout the litigation process.Requirements:Civil litigation experience.Must be admitted to the Connecticut Bar.Proven experience in drafting discovery, leading depositions, and arguing motions.Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a demanding caseload in a fast-paced environment.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).Familiarity with Lexis software for legal research.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.Certifications:Must be licensed to practice in Connecticut.Skills:Exceptional legal research and writing skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.Ability to manage complex cases and multiple priorities simultaneously.Negotiation and settlement expertise.Job Location:New York City, NY (Hybrid position)Benefits:401(k) with company matchingDental and Vision InsuranceHealth InsuranceLife InsurancePaid Time Off (PTO)Flexible Work ScheduleFlexible Spending Account (FSA)Employee Assistance Program (EAP)Referral Program The firm has been practicing for over a quarter of a century, and has offices in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York, Westchester County, Pittsburgh, Delaware and Maryland.
