This role involves end-to-end case management, in-depth research, client interaction, and close collaboration with the legal team to achieve optimal outcomes for clients. This position is an opportunity to work on complex litigation matters within a collaborative team setting.DutiesOversee case management independently from initiation to resolution under partner guidance.Prepare for and attend hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials/arbitrations.Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and other legal documents with high attention to detail.Conduct thorough legal research on complex procedural and substantive issues.Manage daily litigation tasks, including timely updates and status reports.Interact professionally with clients, experts, and opposing counsel.Work collaboratively within a team, providing support to peer associates as needed.RequirementsMinimum of 3 years of litigation experience within a private firm.RI Bar admission is required; MA Bar admission is preferred, but candidates with RI admission willing to obtain an MA Bar will be considered.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.Experience with legal research platforms, such as Westlaw and LexisNexis.Familiarity with an Amicus Attorney is beneficial.EducationJuris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.CertificationsAn active member of the RI Bar; MA Bar admission is an advantage.SkillsStrong verbal and written communication skills, with an emphasis on research and drafting.Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.Ability to work independently while maintaining a team-oriented approach.Proficiency in managing case details and deadlines efficiently.Job LocationProvidence, RI Founded in 1999, the law firm handles a diverse range of cases.
