This role involves representing public agencies and educational institutions in complex litigation matters. The attorney will be involved in all stages of litigation, from case strategy development to trial representation, working closely with experienced legal professionals to advocate for clients' interests.LocationSacramento, CADutiesConduct thorough legal research and analysis to support client cases.Draft precise legal documents, including pleadings and motions.Manage discovery activities such as document review and deposition preparation.Collaborate with partners and senior associates to develop case strategy and prepare for trial.Represent clients in hearings, mediations, and negotiations.Maintain clear communication with clients, colleagues, and support staff to provide case updates.Stay informed on legal developments related to education and public agency law.RequirementsMinimum of 3 years of litigation experience, ideally in education law, public agency law, or related fields.Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.Ability to effectively manage multiple cases and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.Passion for supporting educational institutions and public agencies.EducationJuris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.CertificationsActive membership in the California State Bar, in good standing.SkillsProficiency in legal research and litigation support.Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently when required.Commitment to client service and legal advocacy.BenefitsComprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance.401(k) retirement plan with employer contributions.Professional development opportunities, such as mentoring and continued training.Inclusive and supportive work environment focused on diversity and community engagement.Additional benefits include child-friendly policies and recognition programs.
