The role involves handling a high-volume caseload focused on foreclosure litigation, bankruptcy, and mortgage banking. The ideal candidate will have a background in foreclosure litigation, strong organizational skills, and a proactive approach to client representation. This position offers growth opportunities, including a partnership track.LocationMelville, NYDutiesManage and prioritize a large caseload related to foreclosure, bankruptcy, and mortgage banking.Draft and review pleadings, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.Represent clients at hearings, status conferences, and other legal proceedings.Interact with clients, opposing counsel, and team members to develop case strategies.Provide innovative solutions to complex legal issues to mitigate client risk.RequirementsMinimum of 5 years of experience in foreclosure litigation.Juris Doctorate (JD) degree and active membership in good standing with the New York State Bar.Previous experience in title, bankruptcy, and mortgage banking is preferred.EducationJuris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.CertificationsLicensed to practice law in New York.SkillsProficient in legal research, drafting, and review within foreclosure and bankruptcy law.Strong communication skills for effective client and team interaction.Excellent organizational abilities to manage a high-volume caseload.Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to case management.BenefitsComprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance.401(k) retirement plan with contributions.Disability insurance (short-term and long-term).Paid time off, including 15 vacation days, 5 personal emergency days, and 6 holidays.Hybrid work option available after completion of the training period.Signing bonus offered.
