This full-time position is ideal for a motivated litigator with a background in general liability or labor and employment law. The role provides an exciting opportunity to work on diverse and complex legal matters, representing clients in various stages of litigation. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven attorney to further develop their practice in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.Duties:Represent clients in all phases of litigation, from case initiation to expert discovery, in matters involving professional liability or labor and employment law.Attend and participate in court appearances, hearings, depositions, and case management conferences.Conduct complex legal research and lead discovery investigations.Draft legal documents including discovery requests, motions, case summaries, court orders, settlement agreements, affidavits, pleadings, and memoranda.Review discovery responses and depositions, preparing litigation summaries and updates for clients.Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel to resolve claims.Communicate closely with clients to provide legal analysis, status updates, and advice throughout the litigation process.Requirements:2+ years of litigation experience, preferably in general liability or labor and employment law.Must be licensed to practice law in New York.Experience in drafting discovery documents, leading depositions, and arguing motions is required.Strong written and organizational skills.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and demanding work environment.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).Proficient in Lexis legal research software.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.Certifications:Active bar membership in New York.Skills:Excellent legal research, writing, and communication skills.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.Proficient in using legal research tools and office productivity software.Benefits:401(k) with matching contributionsDental insuranceEmployee assistance programFlexible work scheduleFlexible spending accountHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offReferral programVision insurance The firm has been practicing for over a quarter of a century, and has offices in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York, Westchester County, Pittsburgh, Delaware and Maryland.
