This full-time, hybrid role offers an exciting opportunity for someone with up to 5 years of experience in general liability, professional liability, healthcare, or labor and employment law. The position provides exposure to a diverse set of legal matters, along with mentorship from experienced attorneys. This is an excellent opportunity for someone eager to advance their legal career while handling complex and challenging cases in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.Duties:Represent clients through all phases of litigation, from case initiation to expert discovery, with a primary focus on general liability matters.Attend court appearances, hearings, depositions, and case management conferences.Conduct legal research and investigations related to discovery.Draft various legal documents, including discovery requests and responses, motions, case summaries, court orders, settlement agreements, affidavits, pleadings, and legal memoranda.Review discovery responses and depositions, preparing litigation summaries and status reports.Engage in settlement negotiations with opposing counsel to resolve disputes.Communicate regularly with clients, providing legal advice, analysis, and updates on the status of cases.Requirements:0-5 years of litigation experience, with a focus on general liability, professional liability, healthcare, or labor and employment law preferred.Must be licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania.Strong experience in drafting discovery documents, leading depositions, and arguing motions.Excellent written and organizational skills.Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced and demanding environment.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).Proficient in Lexis legal research software.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.Certifications:Active bar membership in Pennsylvania.Skills:Strong research and writing skills.Ability to handle a diverse caseload with attention to detail.Effective communicator, both with clients and opposing counsel.Strong organizational and time management skills.Proficient in legal research tools and office software.Benefits:401(k) with matching contributionsDental insuranceFlexible work scheduleHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offReferral programVision insurance This law firm was founded over two decades ago and specializes in defense litigation.
