This full-time role focuses on advocating for survivors of sexual abuse and other traumatic events, with responsibilities that span all aspects of civil litigation. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in litigation and will be ready to take on a caseload, including drafting legal documents, conducting depositions, and preparing for trial. The position offers significant opportunities for career growth and specialization within a supportive team environment.DutiesRepresent plaintiffs in civil litigation, particularly cases related to sexual abuse and other traumatic eventsDraft complaints, responses to discovery, motions, and other legal documentsConduct depositions and participate in trial preparationManage a caseload independently, developing expertise in specific areas of lawCollaborate with senior attorneys and colleagues to develop case strategiesEngage in settlement negotiations when appropriateProvide clear and timely communication with clients throughout the litigation processEnsure compliance with legal and ethical standards in case managementContinue to develop professional expertise through mentorship and ongoing learningRequirements3-5 years of experience practicing civil litigationExperience in representing plaintiffs in injury matters is preferred, but candidates with insurance defense or other relevant litigation experience will also be consideredAbility to manage cases from inception to trialStrong written and verbal communication skillsDemonstrated commitment to client advocacy and justiceAbility to work independently while collaborating effectively within a teamPassion for helping survivors of sexual abuse and advancing justice in this fieldEducationJuris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law schoolCertificationsActive state bar licenseSkillsExcellent legal research, writing, and drafting skillsStrong advocacy and oral communication abilitiesExperience with case management, including depositions, motions, and trial preparationAbility to manage a diverse caseload and meet deadlinesStrong interpersonal skills and the ability to build client relationshipsProficiency in legal software and case management systemsBenefitsDental insuranceHealth insuranceLife insuranceFlexible spending accountPaid time off (PTO)Vision insuranceReferral programRetirement plan optionsOpportunities for advancement and career growth
