The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in litigation, including motion practice, depositions, court appearances, and legal research. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and seeks to grow their legal career within a collaborative and supportive setting.Duties:Represent clients in litigation before state and federal courts, as well as federal administrative agencies.Handle all phases of litigation, from case inception through trial.Draft, review, and file legal documents such as pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery.Take and defend depositions, and manage expert witnesses.Participate in case strategy meetings and collaborate with senior attorneys to develop legal tactics.Conduct detailed legal research and provide analysis on complex issues.Work independently and manage multiple cases simultaneously.Communicate with local counsel and clients regarding case progress.Requirements:Previous litigation experience is preferred.MUST have courtroom experience, particularly in Fairfax County and the Northern Virginia area.Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.An active member of the Virginia State Bar.Strong ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Ability to think critically and work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.High attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications:Admitted to the Virginia State Bar.Skills:Strong litigation and research skills.Proficient in drafting legal documents such as briefs, pleadings, and motions.Experience taking and defending depositions.Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Job Location: Vienna, VABenefits:Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance.Life insurance and short-term/long-term disability coverage.401(K) with employer matching.Unlimited paid time off (PTO).10 paid holidays annually.Quarterly performance bonuses.Flexible and hybrid work schedules.A supportive work environment with reasonable billable hour requirements to promote work-life balance.
