The ideal candidate should have a strong academic record, a commitment to client service, and a willingness to work on pro bono matters. A judicial clerkship is preferred, and based on experience and clerkship, the firm may offer clerkship bonuses and up to two years of seniority and salary credit for partnership consideration and compensation. Virginia Bar membership will be required within one year of hiring.Duties:Manage and contribute to a diverse range of litigation cases, including case strategy and development.Draft and prepare legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and briefs.Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategies.Represent clients in depositions, court hearings, and trials.Handle discovery tasks, including issuing and responding to discovery requests.Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop and implement case strategies.Provide exceptional client service and maintain effective communication with clients.Participate in pro bono matters and contribute to the firm’s commitment to community service.Requirements:2-5 years of litigation experience.Strong academic record.Commitment to client service and willingness to work on pro bono matters.Judicial clerkship is preferred.Virginia Bar membership will be required within one year of hiring.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.Certifications:Membership in the Virginia Bar is required within one year of hiring.Skills:Proficiency in drafting legal documents and conducting legal research.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.Solid organizational skills and attention to detail.Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.Experience in handling various stages of litigation and discovery.Benefits:Clerkship bonuses and seniority credit for partnership consideration.Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.
