The role involves preparation and trial of patent litigation matters, including case strategy, discovery management, and courtroom advocacy.Job Duties:Prepare and conduct trials for patent litigation matters, ensuring adherence to case strategy.Manage all aspects of discovery, including document production and review.Work closely with witnesses, including experts and fact witnesses, for deposition and trial preparation.Analyze products and patents for infringement and validity issues.Conduct and defend depositions and witness examinations.Draft pleadings, motions, and court arguments related to patent issues.Requirements:JD degree from an ABA-accredited law school.Admission to or eligibility for admission in the District of Columbia.3-5 years of experience in patent litigation in district courts and/or before the ITC.Experience with patent infringement and validity analyses.Proficiency in drafting motions and briefs concerning patent issues.Familiarity with managing discovery aspects of litigation.Preferable experience in preparing for, defending, or taking depositions.Preferable experience in working with expert and fact witnesses.Preferred degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.Skills:Strong written and verbal communication skills.Exceptional organizational abilities with extreme attention to detail.Ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting.Education and Certifications:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.Admission to the District of Columbia Bar or eligibility for admission.
