We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Specialist to assist individuals with disabilities in achieving their SMART goals while enhancing their daily living skills. This part-time role, requiring 12 hours per month, will focus on community outings, meal prepping, and household management. The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals with disabilities and a genuine passion for promoting independence and quality of life. Responsibilities: Provide one-on-one support to individuals with disabilities in setting and achieving SMART goals related to daily living skills, community engagement, and self-care. Assist clients with meal planning and preparation to promote healthy eating habits. Support household management skills, including organization, cleaning, and budgeting. Facilitate community outings to help clients develop social skills and increase their engagement with the community. Track progress toward goals and provide feedback to clients and supervisors. Hours: 12 hours per month Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required; experience in social work, special education, or a related field is preferred. Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities or in a supportive role. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to motivate and inspire clients. Reliable, organized, and adaptable in meeting the diverse needs of clients. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (mileage reimbursement provided).
