About You:Our hospital is growing at an exponential rate and we are looking to expand our team. Ideally, you will have a certification as a veterinary technician/nurse in Wisconsin or will be able to transfer your license from another state. Responsibilities:Working alongside a collaborative, small, and quality-focused team you will get to: • Provide care to a wide range of animals. You work with not only dogs and cats but also other animals like hobby farm animals to exotic animals• Review vaccination records, prepare vaccines if needed, and administer vaccines according to the vaccine protocol of Gentle Vet Animal Hospital• Advise animal owners about general care, medical conditions, and treatments as well as associated costs by providing a treatment plan/estimate• Maintain and use medical equipment such as autoclaves, surgical instruments, X-rays, blood system analyzers, etc.• Educate the public about diseases that can be spread from animals to humans• Assist with compassionate end-of-life discussions with clients and humane euthanasia of patients when medically and/or ethically necessary• Induce and maintain anesthesia• Dentistry• And, many other duties! Qualifications:• You must have a certification as a veterinary technician/nurse in Wisconsin or will be able to transfer your license from another state• Recent graduates from accredited AVMA CVTEA programs will also be considered Compensation: $18 - $22 hourly About Company: Gentle Vet is working hard to provide noticeably better care and service.
