As our company grows, we will add new team members who exhibit this passion for patient experience so that we can provide even more patients in Northeast Ohio with the transformational dermatology care they deserve.We are currently seeking a LPN for our growing, fast paced environment to assist physicians with patient care.PRIMARY DUTIES: Escorts patients to exam rooms in order of appointment times. Obtains short history and vital signs as required by patient's chief complaint. Obtains or updates patient medication list. Sets up exam room according to scheduled procedure or anticipate provider's needs if non-scheduled procedure is likely. Transcribes during visit and assures documentation of patient care to meet criteria dictated by legal practice, state health laws, and Medicare regulations. Assists physician with biopsies and surgical procedures. CoolSculpting Educates patient as required after physician establishes the treatment plan. Ensures that the patient understands the treatment plan, understands the proper use of their medications, and understands their responsibility for compliance with the treatment plan prior to leaving the office. Straightens and cleans exam rooms after patient visits. Performs patient care procedures such as injections, suture removal, dressing changes without direct physician supervision. Provides direct patient care, including observation and prescribed treatments. Maintains patient records and charts Institutes emergency care appropriately, accurately and professionally. Accepts responsibility for patient safety and assures safe practice.SECONDARY DUTIES: Stocks all exam rooms. Performs all duties related to medical instrument cleaning and sterilization. Participates in conferences, committee meetings, staff development and educational programs to meet personal, professional, institutional certification and regulatory requirements. Performs other duties and assumes various responsibilities as determined by team lead/supervisor.ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Excellent communication skills. Good understanding of skin anatomy. Good problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to work as a team member. Well-organized with attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Empathetic with patient needs and concerns. Ability to work well with physicians, anticipating their needs regarding patient treatment.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Current and valid documentation as a LPN Excellent interpersonal skills. External Relationships (memberships in professional organizations) encouraged.
